David gets behind on his writing for several reasons. For one, he does not have a computer, or a word processor, and his "rough drafts" are all hand
written. Once necessary corrections have been made, he then types his journals so they can be read and understood by the webmaster at AriseandShine.org.
Secondly, David has two jobs at the prison. During the day he works as a Mobility Guide and is assigned to certain sight-impaired inmates. In the afternoon he becomes
a Program Aide in the Intermediate Care Program, in the E-North cell block.
Besides his two jobs, David is also very involved in the prison's chapel services and activities. Meetings, Bible studies, and services take place 5-6 times a week.
If that's not enough, David has a letter writing ministry in which he sometimes counsels people, as he is led to do so by the Lord. He also receives various requests by different
ministries that want to share his testimony in the form of interviews or more of David's writings.
